Okay so we went here on one of those deals. My thoughts are deals provide a restaurant with the opportunity to invite folk to visit, promote the restaurant experience and then return. Unfortunately this place is sadly lacking in warmth and I don’t mean temperature wise. The food was very average, the atmosphere flat, not the company! Not impressed they also tacked an extra $10 on our bottle of wine. A computerised system one wonders how and why this could occur! All things considered I could not be enticed into a return visit.
17 Hour Sous Vide Pork Belly with Shallot, Ginger Jam & Baby Roquette (?)
Somehow they managed to produce an incredibly dry offering
Pan Roasted Cone Bay Barramundi with capsicum coulis, fennel and ruby grapefruit
The colour combinations are enough to put you off this tiny offering.
Drunken Chicken (supposedly cooked in sake) served with honey roasted pumpkin
Visually a most uninspiring dish however a delicate flavour, tender and juicy
Warm apple tarte tatin
This was very nice!
Mandarin Crème brûlée served with cumquat ice cream. Okay but not the best I’ve tasted.
Sides consisted of a salad, shoestring fries and broccolini with parmesan
